Flesh Re/volving is a sound installation that was developed and premiered in 2017 at Kraftwerk Bille during a two-month residency. The central element of the work is an abstract replica of a revolving door. Both stage and sculpture, the revolving door embodies an ambivalent threshold:
both passageway and endless carousel. Visitors to the performance were free to enter and leave the revolving door at will. Upon exiting through one of the four exits, a safety sensor triggered one of four live performed sound sequences, in which the concept of flesh in relation to life and decay was poetically reflected upon.
